If you have had a power cut, a blown fuse or some other type of emergency that you need to report you can contact the Southern Electric emergency department. If the problem concerns your electricity then you need to contact your local network operator not Southern Electric. For electricity faults, Southern Electric aims to restore electricity within three hours. On bank holidays and weekends this is extended to 4 hours. If you contact Southern Electric between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Monday to Friday they will aim to fix the gas problem within four hour period. 

Accounts and billing department

If you have a question about accounts and billing you need to contact the Southern Electric cardline. They can take payment using a debit or credit card. The cardline is available 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

Green deal department

Southern Electric has a specific department charged with looking after Green Deal inquiries. Green Deal allows Southern Electric to take out loans which covers some of the cost of making improvements to improve energy efficiency. They can pay back the cost of the loan installments through the electricity. Green deal is designed to reduce electricity and gas usage and carbon emissions.

Southern Electric offers a broadband packages starting from £11.99 per month. Before you can set up a broadband package with Southern Electric they need to check your line. To do this you need to call the Southern Electric broadband helpline and provide them with your current landline number. This will allow Southern Electric to tell you whether they can provide broadband to your line.

Gas and electricity department

Southern Electric offers one-year fixed prices for gas and electricity. The tariff is charged on a monthly direct debit basis. Southern electric are also freezing energy prices until 2016.
